Terms of use

These terms apply to the Spoily mobile app (“Spoily”, “we”). By creating an account or using Spoily you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content

Spoily is a community. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not post reviews, comments, lists, usernames, display names, bios or profile pictures that:

• harass, bully, threaten or intimidate anyone;
• contain hate speech or attack people for who they are;
• are sexually explicit, violent or otherwise obscene;
• are spam, scams, advertising or impersonation;
• reveal major plot points without marking the review as containing spoilers;
• break the law or infringe someone else’s rights.

Reporting and blocking

You can report any review, comment, list or user from inside the app (the flag icon on reviews, “Report” on comments, and the ⋯ menu on profiles). We review every report within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these terms, and suspend or delete the accounts of users who post it.

You can also block any user from their profile. Blocked users can’t see your reviews, comments, lists or activity, and you won’t see theirs. You can unblock people at any time in Settings → Blocked users.

Your account

You must be at least 15 years old to create an account. Keep your password safe: you are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account and all its content at any time from Profile → Edit profile → Delete account.

Your content

You keep the rights to what you write. By posting it on Spoily you allow us to store it and show it to other users inside the app for as long as it stays online. We may remove any content that breaks these terms without notice.

Show information

Show data and images come from The Movie Database (TMDB). This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Titles, posters and artwork belong to their respective owners.

No warranty

Spoily is provided “as is”, free of charge. We do our best to keep it available and accurate, but we can’t guarantee it will always work, and we aren’t liable for indirect losses resulting from its use, to the extent permitted by law.

Changes

We may update these terms. If the changes are significant we’ll let you know in the app. Continuing to use Spoily after an update means you accept the new terms.
